1) 40 hours of CE which
includes:

6 hours of
pediatric education

2 hours of
geriatric education

8 hours of
trauma training of which 2 hours must be of
local protocol/issues training
That's approximately 1.1
hours of CE per month for 3 Years.

2) Thirty (30) hour
state approved Refresher Course (NOT COMBINED)

3) Current NREMT Renewal Requirements

Current registration with the National Registry of
EMT at the EMT-B or equivalent level and 2 hrs of trauma
triage and transportation protocols approved by the
board
OR
4) Exam in Lieu of CE
Passing score within three attempts on an exam
approved by the board. This exam may only be taken during
the last six months of an EMT-basic's current
certification period.

EMT at the EMT-I or equivalent level and 2 hrs of trauma

board

4) Exam in Lieu of CE

the last six months of an EMT-Intermediate's current
certification period .

1) Ninety-Two (92)
hours of CE which includes:

12-hours of pediatric education

4-hours of geriatric education
-
12 Hours of Emergency Cardiac Care (an ASHI ACLS
card meets this requirement) -
8 hours of trauma training of
which 2 hours must be of local protocol/issues
training
That's approximately 2.5
hours of CE per month for 3 Years, are you keeping up?

2) Fourty-eight (48) hour EMT-Paramedic
Refresher Course
Fourty-Four (44) additional hours of CE
Six (6) of which must be in Emergency Carre
OR
3) Current NREMT-P Renewal Requirements

Current registration as a Paramedic
with the NREMT on the
expiration date of your Ohio certification will be
recognized as having met the CE requirements for
renewal.
If opting for National Registry Renewal all that is
required is:

approved by the board. This exam may only be taken during
the last six months of an EMT-Paramedic's current
certification period.
